Executive Vice President & System Chief Integrated Delivery Network Officer, Baylor Scott & White Health
Gary Brock is the executive vice president and System Chief Integrated Delivery Network Officer for Baylor Scott & White Health. He has been associated with Baylor since 1985. In his present role, he provides operational strategic leadership and operational oversight for Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH), the largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas.
Mr. Brock serves as the organization’s executive leader to support the chairman and Board of Trustees, as well as the chairman and Board of Trustees of the System’s Operating Policy and Procedure Board of the nine BSWH-North community medical centers in fulfilling the System’s mission and vision; ensuring clinical quality, safety and service excellence; strategic planning and growth; and innovation and stewardship of the System’s human and financial resources. Mr. Brock also provides direct executive leadership and oversight for the senior vice president of hospital operations, HealthTexas Provider Network (physician clinics and practice management company), Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance network, as well as for corporate services that include nursing services, consumer affairs comprising marketing and public relations, business development and managed care.
Mr. Brock serves as a trustee on the Texas Hospital Association board and is currently chair-elect. He also serves as a member of the American Hospital Association Policy Review Board 7 for the State of Texas. He is the chairman of the Texas Health Ventures Group Board of Managers – a joint venture with United Surgical Partners International which has developed and operates 25 surgery centers and seven short-stay hospitals in partnership with local physicians in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Additionally, he serves on the boards of the Church University Insurance Company, Ltd., and the American Institute of Gastric Banding, and is an advisory board member of the Healthcare Coalition of Texas.
Mr. Brock previously held positions as president of Baylor Medical Center at Garland in Garland, Texas and senior vice president of managed care and physician network development. Prior to joining Baylor, he was assistant administrator of McAlester Regional Hospital in McAlester, Oklahoma. Mr. Brock is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Oklahoma.
